I am running for the NH Senate in District 8 because I strongly believe that democracy works only when people participate. I believe that the good folks of District 8 and all of New Hampshire deserve a choice between backward legislative initiatives and responsible action.
Responsible action will require serious, civil discussion and a willingness to explore real solutions to real challenges. New Hampshire folks take pride in using resources wisely, and we must continue to do so.
That will require both a fair, adequate tax structure and the efficient delivery of quality services. It will mean protecting civil rights for everyone, not only for folks with whom one might agree. It will mean providing the human and physical infrastructure needed to build and expand a vibrant economy. It will mean maintaining a genuine New Hampshire advantage, rather than a culture of fear and intimidation based on misinformation funded by out-of-state organizations.
We cannot solve every problem nor undo every injustice overnight, but I invite you to join the effort. We might not agree on every issue, but only by respectful discourse and innovative thinking based on factual information can we move forward fairly and responsibly.
